Alumni Reunion for 50s, 60s and 70s

Last night we were delighted to welcome back to St. Anthony's a group of former pupils from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

On Thursday, 28th March, about 25 former pupils joined us for our second alumni reunion.  This was attended by students from the 1950s right up to the 1980s.  A really enjoyable evening begun with our alumni enjoying looking at old photos from their schooldays and telling us stories of their time at St. Anthony's with both Anthony Patton and Tim Patton as their headmasters.   They also brought along some items from their schooldays, including a school cap and their rugby colours.

They were then taken on a tour of both the Junior and Senior Houses and enjoyed both remembering their time in their old classrooms and also seeing the new developments.  Some of the students even remembered their exact desks in our current 6T classroom.

They also enjoyed meeting members of the Patton family;  Sally Pitel, Anthony Patton's daughter and Tim Patton's sister; Nigel Pitel, former headmaster of the school and Tim's nephew;  and Sarah, Tim's niece and our current bursar.

Paul Keyte, our current Headmaster, very much enjoyed hearing about the school from that period and meeting our former students.
